My Confession #8 - Wally Wood art

My Confession #8

My Confession v1 #8, 1949In "I Was Unwanted", Marilyn Burke becomes the pariah of the community due to her parents' violent demise. The arrival of a new boy in town changes her life significantly. In typical Wally Wood style, his inks employ dramatic lighting and high contrast (see interior page below). A second tale, "My Tarnished Reputation", features a female accountant who tampers with the company books to protect the owner's son. Wood's influence is lighter in tone than the previous story, focusing more on enhancing the page layouts. While crude, both works hint at the artist's future potential. This is 1 of 1 My Confession issues by Wood.
